We are Chapter 563 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), located at the Mt. Hawley Airport (3MY) in Peoria, Illinois. Whether you build them, fly them, own them, or simply enjoy chatting about them, you'll fit right in here! Chartered in 1976, we have a long-standing reputation for promoting aviation education and fostering community. From our semi-monthly pancake breakfasts to our numerous youth programs, we're dedicated to sharing the passion for flight with the next generation. We meet often to share stories, technical knowledge, and our love for all things aviation; we'd love to have you join us!

How do I join?

Our most recent newsletter is the November issue. Highlights include a recap of the IMC Club flyout to Mount Vernon, 2026 Ray Scholar Charlie McKee passing his checkride, and the final Young Eagles statistics for the season. Two new members, Greg Remaley and Cami Roberts, are introduced to the chapter. We take a look at winter operational hazards in the Wing Commander column and discuss several unique visitors to Mt. Hawley Airport in the On the Ramp section. Please join us for breakfast and the chapter meeting on November 7th to help us meet quorum for our election and congratulate Charlie on the first of many checkride passes! Also, be sure to RSVP for the Holiday Party Luncheon on 12/6 at 1 p.m.
