We are Chapter 563 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), located at the Mt. Hawley Airport (3MY) in Peoria, Illinois. Whether you build them, fly them, own them, or simply enjoy chatting about them, you'll fit right in here! Chartered in 1976, we have a long-standing reputation for promoting aviation education and fostering community. From our semi-monthly pancake breakfasts to our numerous youth programs, we're dedicated to sharing the passion for flight with the next generation. We meet often to share stories, technical knowledge, and our love for all things aviation; we'd love to have you join us!

Our most recent newsletter is the April issue. Some highlights include Hope White working toward an April checkride date, interviews for the next Ray Scholar this month, and a description of the new website features. Mark your calendars for our June 7th fly-in to celebrate 50 years as an official EAA chapter with us! In heavier news, Sonex has recently announced that it will be ceasing operations effective immediately due to low profitability. Once again, make sure to pay your 2026 dues to avoid a phone call from the secretary.
