We are Chapter 563 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), located at the Mt. Hawley Airport (3MY) in Peoria, Illinois. Whether you build them, fly them, own them, or simply enjoy chatting about them, you'll fit right in here! Chartered in 1976, we have a long-standing reputation for promoting aviation education and fostering community. From our semi-monthly pancake breakfasts to our numerous youth programs, we're dedicated to sharing the passion for flight with the next generation. We meet often to share stories, technical knowledge, and our love for all things aviation; we'd love to have you join us!

Our most recent newsletter is the March issue. Some highlights include the first Young Eagles rally of the year on Saturday, March 14th, approval for the Ray Scholarship from headquarters, and our chapter's 50th anniversary on February 18th! Hope White, the current Ray scholar, is aiming to complete her checkride in April, while Julian Sturm (the 2024 recipient) has been accepted into the Aerospace Engineering program at Rolla. The Cruzer build is moving towards a summer-ready finish, with the upper and lower cowling in place. Lastly, if you haven't paid your 2026 dues ($40) yet, they're overdue!
